So I did make it up by 7:45, just 5 hours after I went to bed. I felt great all day, however, with no sleep problems. I took 6 Oxy-Powder pills yesterday as part of a test of a new colon cleansing product I will be doing a web marketing campaign for as a client of Virante, Inc. This sure cleaned me out well. I must have gone to the bathroom 8 times today! I am not sure if it’s the placebo affect or if it really is good stuff, but I have been feeling wonderful all day—lighter and energetic. I've been up for 21 hours now and am only now getting tired.
I just got back from a run/walk up to the Meadowmont Hill. This is the second time I've been up there and is my favorite place in Chapel Hill. There is such a beautiful view of Chapel Hill in the distance at night up there. I had a very relaxing experience chilling up there—an experience I’ve only experienced 2 or 3 times before in my life—the last times being in my driveway in Bradenton, on the dock at Palma Sola Causeway, and on the bench on Anna Maria Island next to the bay inlet. It brought back many memories of cross country and track from high school days. High school seems like years ago now, although it’s only been 16 months. This was the first time I've run in over six months. It was great to exercise and start the process of getting in shape. I am not quite the 18 minute 3 miler I used to be or the 2 minute ten second 800 meter runner for that matter.
I've made my choice of sports--it's entrepreneurship for now. If only that burned more calories!
I woke up at 745 today, showered, and then went to work. Josh came in five minutes after I and I welcomed him to his first day as a full time employee. I am officially a manager now. I spent a few hours last night preparing an offer letter and employment agreement, so we got those things squared away first thing.
We got 2 more customers today and are up to 47 now. We are averaging 1 a day now. Any day we get a customer is a good day in my book. I also learned yesterday that one of my customers, Drew I think his name was, is a reader of this blog. If you're out there, thanks for signing up!
At 2pm, a potential programmer showed up for an interview. This was the second interview I've done. I do enjoy being on the owner side of the desk. We'll likely hire this person (Kevin) to do work for us on a project-by-project contract basis until we have enough cash flow to bring him on full time.
At 6pm, Josh, Aaron, and I had a wonderful dinner/meeting at 411 West. We got a lot done and reorganized Aaron's CTO work schedule based on what is going to change after Kevin starts working with us and in consideration of the length of time it has taken to get bounce back handling properly working and optimize the queuing system.
After dinner I had my final 'colon blowing' experience from the Oxy-Powder (check out www.colon-cleanse-constipation.com), and then got to work filling out Awards applications for the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' organization.
I left the office about 3am and then went for a run/walk and got back at 4:15. It's 4:35am now and I am off to bed... 21 hours later. There is no way I waking up in 3 hours! Fortunately I left Josh a note with instructions on what to work on.
