Why Does Your Company Exist?

About two weeks ago, I sat down to think about why Broadwick truly exists. It truly is a seperate question that what is your mission--which for us is to "Be the leading worldwide provider of on-demand software that makes online communication easy."

Taking some idea inspiration from both Mavericks at Work and Good to Great here is Why Broadwick Exists.

"Broadwick exists as a Company not to make revenues nor profits. Rather, we exist to innovate, to create Great products, to create jobs, and to make a positive impact in our community and world. Cash and profits should be considered the lifeblood that sustains our ability to innovate more, create better products, create more jobs, and make a bigger positive impact. Without them, we can do nothing, and it is for this reason we strive for them. Let us not focus on our competition, but rather how we can best serve our customers and our core purpose. If we focus on being the best in the world at simplifying communication through product innovation, hiring Great people, and building sustainable systems, cash and profits will naturally follow, allowing the self-reinforcing benevolent cycle to continue."
