We're holding a gathering tonight (Wednesday night at 6:00pm) for anyone interested in learning more about the organization and getting involved. Here's the invite...
Nourish International is an organization begun at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2003 that is dedicated to reducing poverty and hunger in developing nations. Over the past four summers Nourish has sent students to Uganda, Guyana, India, Bolivia, Argentina, and Guatemala. Nourish has reached proof-of-model stage at its current 6 campuses and will be scaling to 28 campuses in 2007-2008. Nourish's leaders Joel Thomas (UNC c/o 2006) and Sindhura Citineni (UNC c/o 2004) are currently raising additional funds to make this possible and sustainable.
Nourish will be holding a gathering for individuals who would like to learn more about poverty, health, hunger, and developing economies on Wednesday, April 18 from 6pm to 7pm at the Broadwick office. You are cordially invited to attend and can RSVP here.
What: Nourish International Gathering When: April 18, 6pm to 7pm Where: Broadwick's Office, 2635 Meridian Parkway, 2nd Floor, in Durham
Nourish believes that any solution to world poverty requires an immense solution, on the order of a culture shift. The shift has begun with college students. They will spend the evening discussing how they’ve begun to build the movement in the past four years and how they can grow it further in the coming decades.
Sincerely Yours, Ryan P. Allis Chief Executive Officer Broadwick Corp & Board Member, Nourish International
