At Venture 2007 Today and Tomorrow

I was at Venture 2007 in Durham at the Washington Duke Inn all day today and will be there tomorrow presenting Broadwick on the Main Stage at 2:15pm. Congrats to CED for a great turnout.

They have 4 Showcase companies, 18 main stage companies (including Broadwick), 20 early stage companies, and 9 angel retreat companies presenting, plus 18 very early stage company who participated in a unique "start-up speed dating" event this afternoon in which each company spend 5 minutes each with 30 different investors for an hour and a half. There is a lot of activity here in the Southeast.

Hi C. A company was considered "main stage" at the Venture Conference if they had already raised a round of investment funding and had revenues in the range of $3 million to $15 million per year.
