Here are short bios on the confirmed attendees:
Paige Berges Paige is a 2007 Duke Law Grad at the age of 23. She is off in October to work for a law firm in New York, pending passing the NY Bar.
Lindsey Rava Lindsey is a 2007 UNC graduate in Journalism and Communications. She is a freelance writer writing for magazines in the area. I was in a history class with her back in 2005. I havent seen her since, but I hear she loves to dance.
Joel Thomas Joel is the Director of Nourish International (www.nourishinternational.org). Joel is a great friend and dedicating his life right now to building an amazing organization that has sent 25 university students to Tanzania, Guatemala, and Uganda this summer. Joel is a 2006 UNC graduate in Social Work and Biology.
Logan Couce Logan is a senior at UNC from Pinehurst and and 04 grad of NC School of Science and Math and a member of Nourish and Triangle Dance Festival for AIDS. He is a mad Jenga player.
Peyton Maddox Peyton is a web application developer at iContact and a 2007 graduate of UNC from Alabama who likes sweet tea. He also helps out with web stuff for Maddox Oncology, a family company that sells products for cancer survivors.
Lindsay Johnson Lindsay is a 2007 UNC graduate in Communications and English. She is the founder and Director of New Worlds Through Literature, which sends packs of selected books to non-profit organizations in North Carolina to help increase literacy.
Ashley Zammitt Ashley is a Journalism and Mass Communications major at UNC in the class of 2009. She was in Uganda for three weeks this summer working with the Full Belly Project and Nourish International.
Sindhura Citineni Sindhura is the founder of Nourish International and is now starting her second year of Dental School at Carolina. Sindhura is totally awesome.
James Forsyth James is an economics major at Wake Forest in the class of 2008. He has been living with me since June. He is currently focusing on creating the script, raising funding, and building support for a documentary on global poverty called The Great Awakening made in the spirit of An Inconvenient Truth. He is working on getting the support of Russell Simmons, Jay-Z, and Jeffrey Sachs.
Roey Rosenblith Roey is a 2006 graduate of UNC-W in Poli Sci and Biology. He is the Director of Outreach and Fulfillment for the Full Belly Project (http://www.fullbellyproject.org/) which is working to distribute a nut shelling machine in Uganda and other locations that saves a tremendous amount of labor. Roey has worked as a research assistant for Arianna Huffington.
Aaron Houghton Ive known Aaron since I came to Chapel Hill five years ago. Aaron is my business partner in iContact as the Chairman and Chief Innovation Officer and the President of Preation, Inc. a web design and web development company in Durham. Aaron is a UNC c/o 2003 graduate in Computer Science. Aaron lives with his wife Sarah and two dogs in Durham.
Beth Richardson Beth is a Duke graduate from the class of 2001 who has now redeemed herself by getting her MBA at UNC, where she is starting her second year. Beth is a co-founder of Zebra Crossings, a fair trade products store (www.zebracrossings.com).
Brandon Milford Brandon is the Vice President of Marketing for iContact. He moved up here in August 2004 coming from Georgia Southern University. He enjoys skydiving, design, art, and of course marketing.
Ruchir Shah Ruchir is the founder of SPOT-NC (Students and Professionals of the Triangle), a networking organization in the Triangle (that is having a free mixer at East End that we can go to afterwards if we want). Ruchir works at Constella Group in Durham. He is a 2006 PH.D from UNC in Bioinformatics.
Josh Lee Josh is a c/o 2004 alum at UNC in Psychology and Exercise & Sport Science from Dunn.
