The Goal I Didn’t Reach
August 19, 2005 · Print This Article
On March 11, 2001 I wrote down on my list of goals:
“Build my own company to $1 million in sales by age 21″
On Sunday, I turned 21. The verdict? $35,000 short of the goal. Looks like Broadwick is going to hit the $1 million mark on September 1. 18 days late–but I guess that’s not so bad.
While I’ve done it twice before as a marketing consultant, this milestone has a special meaning for me as this time, I’m the business owner. And boy, there is a big difference as the business owner.
I’ll be posting an update with some of the things I’ve learned along the way in a couple weeks.
Until then I will enjoy the wonderful freedoms of being 21 and legally buying Pineapple Pina Colada Coolers from Kroger.
Warm regards,
Ryan
